Song of Leelanau

Song of Leelanau

I've never heard a place sing to me the way Leelanau does. Leelanau, Land of Delight as it's called, has hues, perfumes, lullabies and thunder the likes of which I've never experienced anywhere else. They thrill me. They comfort me. They even scare me sometimes, because this is a land where water has teeth and the trees have powerful secrets to share with those quiet and brave enough to listen. Today was one of the most awe-inspiring days of my life. A million decisions and countless guides made today possible. I am so deeply grateful for my life. Election Day is 3 weeks away. Everything is on the line: the lakes, the oceans, the forests, the mycelial web, women's rights, human rights, black lives, immigration, clean air, healthy soil... As I go to sleep tonight, a million Autumn leaves are dancing behind my eyelids. A journey of one day floating along curving, undulating back country roads in my whisper-quiet electric car transformed me. The roads leaned back and stretched out around me, and before I knew it, I was being stretched: my  devotion to the land, my willingness to set my passions ablaze, my hunger for peace...

I hope your journey today brought you joy. And I hope today planted a seed of wisdom and inspiration inside all of us for tomorrow's decisions and discoveries.
